How to Play Dark Labyrinth

Learn the basic controls, enemy behavior, gadgets, vents, and survival strategy.

Objective

In campaign mode, your goal is to reach the green exit at the far side of the maze. Every level becomes more dangerous as monsters become faster and more numerous. In endless mode, there is no exit; the goal is to travel as far as possible before being caught.

Controls

Monsters

Stalkers hunt by sound. Moving makes noise and can draw them toward your last known position. If you stop moving, you become much quieter. This does not make you completely safe, because a monster can still chase if it sees you in a clear line.

Wraiths appear later and behave differently. They are deaf, so footsteps and decoys do not distract them, but they can see farther. Against a Wraith, standing still is not enough. Break line of sight by turning corners or using the maze walls.

Vents and gadgets

Vents are safe hiding points and travel shortcuts. Entering a vent breaks every monster's trail, giving you a moment to recover or escape. Light reveal briefly shows the maze. Decoy throws a noise to lure Stalkers away. Freeze stops monsters in place for a short time. These tools are limited, so use them when they can change the outcome of a chase.
